This page addresses questions most commonly asked about absentee voting when hospitalized. For further information, contact The Miami County Board of Elections at (937) 440-3900 or call the Secretary of State’s elections division at (614) 466-2585.

 

The absentee ballot request deadline is 3:00 p.m. on Election Day in the case of medical emergencies. To be eligible under the provision, you must be confined in a hospital because of a medical emergency. A close relative may deliver and return your ballot if you so request and state the relatives name and relationship on the application. Representatives of the Board of Elections can be requested to deliver the ballot. Please call the Miami County Board of Elections at (937) 440-3900.
